The Casper-Natrona County
Health Department, in conjunction with Natrona County Emergency
Management, announces a new program to assist our community
members to become disaster ready. The program, entitled the
Public Health Registry Program, allows those individuals with
special medical needs to voluntarily register their needs and
location with the Health Department. That information will be
mapped so that, in the event of a disaster or extraordinary
circumstance, emergency response agencies will be able to
provide assistance in an efficient and effective manner. All
information will be kept confidential and only shared for
planning or response purposes.
To register for the program, individuals are
encouraged to complete a form that will be in the Casper Star
Tribune for the next two Wednesdays and Sundays, and will also
be in the Casper Journal over the next two weeks. Also, the form
may be accessed via the Health Department website,
www.casperhealth.com, or picked
up at the Health Department.
The form allows people needing supplemental
oxygen, insulin for diabetes, kidney dialysis or having mobility
problems to register with the Health Department. It also allows
for space for individuals to include other medical needs.
For more information on
the Public Health Registry Program, or if agencies wish to
have a supply of forms on hand for their clients, contact
