Casper – Natrona County Health Department Protecting and enhancing the public health and well being in Casper and Natrona County

The Emergency Preparedness Division plans the public health responses to:

• Natural Disasters-Flood, Tornado, Blizzard, Wildfire
• Widespread Disease
• Terrorism

In addition, the Emergency Preparedness Division:

• Oversees the activities of the Natrona County Medical Reserve Corps, the health department’s volunteer corps.
• Oversee the Public Health Registry Program, which provides information to first responders as to special assistance needs of citizens in the case of a disaster.
• Participant with Wyoming Institute of Disabilities for the Unable to Self Evacuate program.  For more information, please contact Wyoming Independent Living Rehabilitation at 266-6956.
• The Division is a Metropolitan Statistical Area in the Centers for Disease Control Cities Readiness Initiative.
• Provide American Heart Association CPR and First Aid classes. Check the calendar for class schedules.
